Devlog: Adding Full Controller Support to Barko & The Lost Bone Indie Game
Yesterday, I started adding in Full Controller Support to Barko & The Lost Bone! It only took about 30 minutes to set it up manually using Unreal Engine's New Enhanced Input System.
After that, I began enabling the essentials—movement, looking, and jumping, as you can see here🎮. I still need to add the controls setup for attacking, dashing, and interaction, which aren't connected yet, but the core functionality is in place, making it easy to expand on this feature, which I believe is crucial.
Now, you can enjoy the game comfortably with your favorite controller, while Keyboard & Mouse support remains fully functional for those who prefer the classics. Check out the feature in action and experience the improved gameplay fluidity. Subscribe for more dev updates, asset showcases, and progress on indie game development!
Lastly, yes, I'm aware of the framerate issue and have already started addressing it.
